Win in Friendship Trophy

The annual staging of the Friendship Trophy between Largs and Land O’Burns curling clubs took place at Ayr ice rink on Wednesday 20th October.
Each club ices two teams and the aggregate score determined the winner. Land O’ Burns are the current holders of the trophy, but this time the trophy will be heading north on the A78 as Largs won overall for the first time since 2016.
Jim Johnstone’s team won 13-2 and Linda Maxwell-Cox’s side lost 12-8. So overall Largs won by 21-14.
This win ended a run by Land O’ Burns who had won the trophy for three successive years.
