Christmas Bonspiel Result

The club’s Christmas Bonspiel took place on Tuesday 10th December at the Waterfront Ice Rink.
The event took the form of our normal format, each team playing two four end games. In the first round of games Linda Maxwell-Cox beat Glen Gilmour 8-4, and Linn Munton beat Henry Kerr 5-1.
In the second round of games Linda Maxwell-Cox and Linn Munton peeled their game 3-3, with both sides winning two ends each. The other game was much more one sided with Henry Kerr’s side winning all four ends in their 4-0 victory over Glen Gilmour.
The final tally saw both Linda’s and Linn’s teams have in 3 match points, won 5 ends each, both +4 shots up, but Linda scored 11 shots to Linn’s 8 to seal overall victory by the narrowest of margins.
After the curling the members carried on to Sharps Bar in Largs for the social part of the evening, with food and refreshments available followed by the prize giving.
