RULES FOR NE PROVINCE COMPETITIONS
Please note new rules adopted after the 2018 AGM, in particular the new (less restrictive) rules for subs in the Alan Johnston
Waldie Griffith Challenge Cup
The winning team from the Thursday Curl Aberdeen league may be invited to represent NE Province in the following season’s Waldie Griffith Challenge Cup, an RCCC competition.
The Waldie-Griffith Inter Province Cup is a competition for Scottish Provinces. Teams are selected by each Province to play a match of four 8 end games against another Province. The Province which gains the highest average majority of shots per team over its opponents will be declared the winner.

Provinces can select teams using any method they wish. If teams are unable to take up their invitation the Committee will look to make up teams another way. It is not necessary for participating teams to be drawn from the same club – “mongrel” rinks of players from more than one club are allowed so long as they all belong to clubs who are within the North Eastern Province. We would therefore ask that all clubs submit a list of reserves who would like to participate in the Waldie if substitutes are required
