Club Points Challenge

We had 12 competing clubs for the Challenge this year and with eight disciplines played, it appeared as though a tie-breaker was needed to sort out the winners. Preliminary indications were three clubs were on the same score but after a re-count it turned out Roxburghe were the best of the best on 36 points with St Boswells and Coldstream following up on 34. Phew! Congratulations there to Johnny McCririck, Calum Potts and Douglas Redpath. The best Individual score and winner of the Open Points trophy was Stuart Craig (Coldstream) on 22 points and Kyla Porteous (Ayton Castle) showed just how good a curler she is becoming by being top lady with a score of 17 points. Always a fine spectacle seeing all those players working their way across the four sheets. Thanks to all for taking part and to the various helpers for ensuring things ran smoothly. Already looking forward to next year’s event.
