{"id":1603,"date":"2026-01-13T23:25:16","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T23:25:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/network.royalcaledoniancurlingclub.org\/eastlinton\/?p=1603"},"modified":"2026-01-13T23:26:43","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T23:26:43","slug":"next-is-the-cairndinnis-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/network.royalcaledoniancurlingclub.org\/eastlinton\/2026\/01\/13\/next-is-the-cairndinnis-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Next is the Cairndinnis competition !"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Our next club competition is the Cairndinnis which always causes confusion but shouldn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a progressive skips competition whereby :-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>1) The normal skip starts as lead for two ends<\/li><li>2) All the other players move up one position i.e. lead to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd &amp; 3rd to skip for the first two ends <\/li><li>3) After two ends are completed all players move up another one position i.e. Lead to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to skip and the skip moves down to lead.<\/li><li>4) This rotation happens after every two ends until eight ends are completed or the bell.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p> Hope this is clear.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our next club competition is the Cairndinnis which always causes confusion but shouldn&#8217;t.
