At the Fife & Kinross Area AGM in April, we agreed changes to the penalty shot rules that apply to Area competitions where a team is a player short at the start of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…no penalty shots apply if a team is 1 player short (i.e. has 3 players). Games should start on time. If the missing player subsequently appears, they can join in the game at the appropriate time depending upon their playing position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In our league competition – the Inter Province League – which is played at Kinross we apply the same penalty shot rules as apply to other league competitions run by the Trust. At present, this is essentially the same as described for the bonspiel competitions above…i.e. no penalties apply for a team being 1 player short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In all cases, if a team is 2 or more players short, they forfeit the match by 6-0 and 5 ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
